Description
The Shimano BR-MT420 delivers genuine 4-piston stopping power at an accessible price, making it one of the best-value brake upgrades for mid-range MTBs. The 4-piston caliper provides a larger contact patch than 2-piston designs, resulting in stronger, more progressive braking with excellent modulation. An inboard lever perch stiffens the system under hard braking and increases crash durability. I-SPEC EV compatible clamp mounts cleanly to Shimano Deore/SLX/XT brake levers. Tooled reach adjustment allows fine-tuning for different hand sizes. Compatible with resin (DO3S) or sintered (DO2S) pads — both share the same shape. Rotor compatibility: 6-bolt or Center Lock (adapter required). Weight per unit: 310g (without rotor and hose). Hose must be cut to length during installation.
